What's new for November 2024

November seems to have flown by, and it is just a short time to Christmas. The team have covered a lot of ground in November with over 20 changes delivered as well as the majority of the work required to provide a solution for Commission Disclosure.

Before running through the changes, please share our welcome to 4 new brokers who joined MotorComplete in November 2024, Trio Leasing, Sam Smiths Fleet, Alpha Contracts and EFL Vehicle Leasing – welcome all and looking forward to working together.

Tasks:

At the request of a number of brokers we have spent some time focused on enhancements to the Task System, with 2 significant changes, with more to follow in December.

  • Automated tasks can be configured, created, and assigned to the sales / admin person. This is set up on the CMS in the same section as the automated trigger emails i.e. CRM / Setting / Task Events. You can utilise two different types of trigger
  • The first is based on Opportunity stage e.g. “quote sent to customer” you can configure the generation of a task assigned to the sales person; with a due date you define
  • The second is trigger based on one of the email templates or email event e.g. renewal, that you have defined and set up e.g. quote sent and no further action
  • For both types there is the option to include links to opportunity, contact, and to include category and notes
  • Each morning any person with tasks due that day will receive an email list of those tasks, with links as a reminder

We will add changes to present the phone number at the first level of the task list, and also add the feature to create an associated follow on task – these changes should be ready by the end of December.

CRM:

  • On the Opportunity view we have added additional columns to include Funder and Dealer
  • On the Customer Order view we have added additional columns to include Funder and Dealer
  • On the Vehicles on Order view we have added additional columns to include Funder and Dealer, and when you drill down into the Order details and new field for Order reference. This field is in turn reflected on the Customer Vehicles on Order Report.
  • On the Renewals view, we have added Dealer, Funder and Funding Type
  • A document uploader has been added to the Company view on CRM
  • A new Opportunity status has been added called Delivery Requested
  • A change has been made to how orders are counted on the reporting. Prior to this change if an opportunity had multiple customer or dealer orders, they were all counted in the MI. Now we will only count 1 order i.e. the one in play
  • The email template emails built on the CMS for automation / trigger can now be triggered without a dependency on having a quote in play on the CRM


Website / CMS:

  • We have added a notes section for ratebooks that is viewable via the black broker bar on the website
  • We have added the option to override the default proc fee on Offers
    Additional wording has been added to the Vehicle Results card to reflect vehicle condition alongside excess mileage
  • It is now possible to have different header images for the All Car and All Van Landing pages
  • We have made a change, so metadata is not copied from the broker to the AR when sharing ratebooks and offers
  • New ratebook uploader have been added for Alphabet Finance Lease
  • New ratebook uploader have been added for VWFS
  • The proposal forms have had 7 changes:
  • We ask a question about credit worthiness
  • New info buttons have ben added to help with Car Allowance ad Monthly Expenditure
  • A text box has been added so the applicant can add detail where they indicate there are factors that may influence the funders decision to lend
  • A time field has been added to the business address field on BCH forms
  • A flag is added against each director to indicate if they are an authorised signatory, on BCH forms
  • A new question is added to indicate if the applicant is the main driver
  • A solution is added to establish the partnership type e.g. large / small, to record this against the contact on the CRM, and add to the Customer Vehicle Delivery report

 

Other

We launched a new partnership with ACL for short term leasing offering opportunities to add new sources of income, via a short term MotorComplete ratebook.

The backlog for December, January and February is already filling up. Please remember you can review the backlog via Community found on the main CMS back office menu. Work is focused on the Used Lex API, improvements to the current Xero invoice integration, the addition of Invoice generation for non-Xero brokers, plus some changes required to support some of the new brokers shortly joining the MotorComplete leasing broker platform. We are additionally in the final stages of defining a refresh for the CRM, to focus on the Post Vehicle Order user experience, aiming to complete the work in Q1 2025.
