What's new for March 2025

31 March 2025

In the last issue in February we welcomed seven new brokers to MotorComplete, this month I am pleased to welcome five more, with Xcite Car Leasing, Yorkshire Fleet, Lings Cars, Halal Motor Leasing and B&B Vehicle Contracts all joining MotorComplete. Great to have you on board and we are looking forward to working together.

Since the start of the year we have been supporting the introduction of Used EVs for Lex. Lex is supplying vehicles and pricing via an API. We have added an integrated back office where you can reserve and sell the vehicles directly with Lex. So far we have 18 brokers participating. If you are a Lex broker and you are interested, please let me know.

Last month we released the following updates:

Website

  • You can now configure stock vehicles with multiple colours, and optionally require the customer to select a colour when making an enquiry.
  • To Used Lex integration we have added:
    • The procurement fee.
    • Clear labelling for PCH and BCH via a toggle.
    • The option to add more copy on the vehicle details page.
  • Improvements have been made to hubs:
    • To allow for filtering where tags are used to select the vehicles.
    • To allow content blocks to be added to vehicle results pages.
  • The pages list block can now be used to add Used Lex.
  • A new ratebook uploader has been added for Mobilize.
  • Notes can now be added to a ratebook, and viewed on the broker bar.

CRM

  • Significant changes have been made to how Renewals are managed, with the addition of an indicator in the list view to show if the renewal has no activity, is in progress, or is complete. To be in progress, a note or task needs to be added in the Renewal details view. To be completed, the Renewal either needs to have a new Opportunity created or be archived.
  • Support for HP as a finance type has been improved via:
    • Changes to the quote template.
    • Changes to the quote content sent to the customer.
    • The addition of a HP T&Cs template on the CMS to be sent out with the HP quote.
    • Changes to the Customer Order template and the order sent to the customer.
    • The addition of HP T&Cs template on the CMS to be sent out with the HP customer order.
  • Multiple changes have been made to the BCH Proposal form including:
    • Company type has been renamed Business type, these options now carry forward fully (i.e. not just partnership type) to the Company record on the CRM, and to the reporting on the Customer Orders report.
    • The addition of business property status fields, for owned outright, owned with mortgage or rented.
    • The addition of 'time at business address'.
    • Made two fields mandatory for phone number, mobile and landline.
    • Collection of annual gross income from each director.
    • Ask if there is a current lease vehicle, and current contract end date.
  • Multiple changes have been made to the PCH Proposal form including:
    • The addition of 'self employed' as an option to the employment type drop down.
    • Where the employment option is selected as retired, request how many years retired. If less than 4 years, request employment details replicating question set from employed option.
    • Ask if there is a current lease vehicle, and current contract end date.
    • Additional copy has been added to reflect Vulnerability to the statement in the 'other' section, and this statement has been move to the Affordability section
  • A new report is available to support integrations and reporting for MotorEasy
  • The Customer Vehicle Delivered report has two additional fields added for contact and email (designed to support Feefo reporting).

Finally, more brokers are taking up the opportunity to receive ratebooks directly to their CMS from Kia, MG, Audi, and Trust Ford, and additionally from ACL, for short term deals. Similarly the BIK calculator is proving popular. Please let us know if you are interested.
