What's new for April 2025

30 April 2025

With Easter already behind us and I suspect most of the chocolate consumed, summer seems to be rapidly approaching, let's hope the weather stays fine. We hope all is going well with your brokerages and that you are making good use of the platform.

We continue to add brokers and at the same time focus on improving the platform based on the feedback you provide. This month there has been a particular emphasis on the CRM, and presenting important data, with no or as few clicks as possible.

Firstly, this month we have added six new brokers to the MotorComplete leasing website and CRM platform.

Welcome to the following brokers, Synergy Car Leasing, Gofor, and Fleet Sauce joined with installations to support the Lex Used EV proposition, Pure Vehicle Leasing joined us as part of the Wessex AR programme, Contract Cars added their website to the pricing tools already in use, and at the end of the month,  Skyfleet Car Leasing moved over to utilise website and pricing - thank you and welcome to all.

Help with marketing ! - Please if you see us popping up on LinkedIn, comment or like the conversation.  If you have received a box of Lego when you joined please post a photo on LinkedIn, and we remain very light on Google Reviews – please leave a review if you have a moment https://g.page/r/CUvc_GTiD3uCEAI/review

Changes released in April include

CRM

  • The header on the CRM Opportunity has been changed to include the contact and where applicable the company, the latest opportunity status, and the duplicate (duplicate used where ordering multiple vehicles) button has been moved to the right side
  • The opportunity statuses are now presented in each opportunity block as pills that can be updated directly from the block
  • Document status and expiry are presented on the Finance Proposal Block
  • Delivery date, OTR, Registration, Chassis number, and Agreement number have been added to the Vehicle Purchase Order block
  • Start and end dates have been added to the CRM contract view (previously only viewable on the Renewal)
  • Funder has been added to the Live Contracts list and detailed view
  • Statuses have been added to each opportunity row to indicate if there is an associated task. Green indicates there is, and it is due in the future, red indicated there is and it is late, and if blank there is no associated task
  • Where the Opportunity status is updated to reflect the Dealers approval of the order, the Vehicle Order will automatically move to In Play, generate the next step, and set the status to Vehicle on Order
  • A system warning has been added to advise the importance and dependency of ensuring the Delivery date is added to the Delivery pack section, before moving the opportunity status to Closed Won. If this is not done, then start and end dates are not calculated on the Contract or Renewal
  • A correction has been made to the calculation used to support cooling off dates
  • Changes and improvements have been made to the Xero and Word invoice solutions
    • Registration number has been added as a reference
    • Company name is now picked up on BCH related invoices, and contact for PCH

Website and CMS

  • Multiple image overrides can now be added to offers
  • Changed the logic on the ratebook setting to enable the inclusion of EVs in the Luxury Car tax surcharge, that can be set to display on the quote where the cost of options takes the price over £40,000
  • Amended the copy relating to vehicle taxation to indicate customer liability for future changes
  • Placeholders for the email templates have been added for
    • Customer mobile number to the Customer Delivery Date Confirmation
    • The Proposal Agreement Number can now be added
  • Further enhancements made to the Lex used API including
    • The addition of initial rental terms for 3, 6 and 9 month
    • Setting to allow selection of rental prices ascending or descending
    • Addition of the P11D to the Lex back office
  • Addition of a new sales user type, that restricts the sales persons view to only enquiries and opportunities assigned to them
  • An additional webhook placeholder has been added for email

Finally, more brokers are taking up the opportunity to receive ratebooks directly to their CMS from Kia, MG, Audi, and Trust Ford, and additionally from ACL, for short term deals. Similarly the BIK calculator is proving popular. Please let us know if you are interested.
